The ground floor of the U Kříže Hotel includes our second restaurant, the Czech and Slovak Restaurant & Lounge, situated in a Renaissance room with beautiful barrel vault and an original sandstone portal. These historical features have been supplemented with elegant minimalist architecture with effective light design, which changes according to the time of day and according to the mood. Our chef and his team prepare for our guests Czech and Slovak “experience cuisine” as a fusion of traditional Czech cuisine and modern international cooking. We try for the individual meals as well as the multiple-course tasting menus with drinks matching to be a great culinary experience for you. We are happy to create the overall conception of your tasting event on request, from graphic design to the final presentation.

 

 

LOCAL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

At our Czech and Slovak family restaurant we personally choose the best ingredients from our local suppliers as the basis of our menu. We process organic venison meat from the Šumava forests and purchase pork and bacon from Mangalica pigs as well as lamb and poultry from breeders. A Brno-based snail farm supplies us with meat and also with specialities such as snail liver and caviar. Most of our drinks are also organic. Our biggest pride is our own Zlatý Kříž beer, which you can only have at our restaurants. The wines and spirits served by our sommelier are first tasted and then purchased by us from small but high-quality wineries and distilleries.
